Recently, Le Monde Gourmand began its expansion into Sephora Europe — an exciting milestone for our rapidly growing brand. As part of this launch, LMG was invited to participate in the SEPHORiA beauty event in Paris, featured in the “Next Big Thing” section. To introduce the brand to our new European audience, we created a booth themed as a café and candy shop, highlighting our connection to food, sweets, and desserts. I developed the concept for a branded newspaper stand within the booth and created a custom bilingual Le Monde Gourmand newspaper announcing our international expansion to Paris and sharing storytelling around our brand ethos, voice, and personality. The booth was a major success, generating strong foot traffic, social engagement, and broader brand awareness.
As we prepared to enter this entirely new market, we also encountered unique challenges—including navigating Sephora France’s legal restrictions related to product imagery and food. This required an immediate pivot: we reshot our product photography specifically for Sephora Europe. I assisted in the art direction for this shoot, helping develop imagery that met legal requirements while still communicating a cohesive gourmand narrative. Several shots also incorporated a travel theme, reflecting our brand “packing its bags” and moving across the pond. Assets from this shoot are now used across our Sephora PDPs and featured throughout the newspaper. I even had the fun opportunity to model in several of the images.
